Zargon/Morcar HeroQuest WIP

Very excited about this... after browsing Old Scratchy's HeroQuest Forum for the past few days I've been struck by inspirado to make a Zargon/Morcar custom out of the GW Empire Battle Wizard kit.

Pretty simple conversion, and the kit is fantastic. The only alteration I had to do was cut the left arm to straighten it out and sculpt in the crazy hair with green stuff.

Couldn't wait to put up these work-in-progress pics... hopefully I'll have Zargon finished up by tomorrow. As always, comments and critiques are appreciated!

Zombie Ogre & Skellies

Finally got some time to work on my Zombie Ogre from Warploque Miniatures. A fantastic model, with tons of detail. I've decided to name the octopus on the back of his head "Squishy," as in, "he will be mine, and he will be my Squishy."

Here's a few of the Cursed Company Skellies.

Here's the big guy in with the rest of his compatriots. I used the washes to help me pick out the details so I could see what the heck I was doing, some of this stuff is tiny!

Skeletons!

Wanted to get some in-progress pics of my skeletons up. Here you can see the process: Spray white,
Wash with Devlan Mud, overbrush with Bleached Bone, then I (painstakingly!) pick out the black areas with Chaos Black including any weapons, cloth, and armor.
Finally I drybrush all the black areas with chainmail and call it a day!

Swap Haul

Those of you who play miniature wargames in the Sacramento area may have been able to swing by the Great Escape Games Swap Meet on Oct. 23rd. I had never been to one previously having just moved to the area a short while ago. It blew me away, it was like being in the dealer's alley of a comic convention but everything was really cheap! I got all the below stuff for around $35, this amount of stuff would've cost me about a hundred bucks or more at retail. What a bargain!

I'm especially excited about the Cursed Company miniatures. I've had my eye on them for a while.
